Privacy in Oslo Taxi
We at Oslo Taxi are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and all processing of personal data is in accordance with the Personal Data Act. This privacy statement explains how we collect and use information about you.
What is personal data?
1. How we process personal data
In order to offer taxi bookings, customer service and additional services, we must be able to store information that is considered personal data.
All personal information you provide to us, as well as information from applications, is stored securely and treated confidentially. The information is only stored for as long as is necessary for us to process your case or perform the relevant service, and we do not store more than we have to. The information we process can be found in the information for the various services further down the page.
The processing of personal data is subject to the applicable Personal Data Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In accordance with the regulations, we have developed internal procedures for the processing of personal data. Here, requirements for information security and internal control are met.
As the data controller, Oslo Taxi does not process sensitive personal data about you.
We have no control over, or responsibility for, third-party software with regard to personal data. We will not use third-party solutions that are widely known to violate the Norwegian Data Protection Act. We use, among others, Google Maps, Vipps and DIBS. Please see the privacy information in these apps.
2. What we store and why
Oslotaxi.no
Purpose
We process personal data to provide a service that makes it possible to order a taxi. The service allows you to make your own bookings, as well as manage your orders, card information and receipts.
We treat this
We process the following information about you:
- Name, phone, address, email address, GPS locations, trip history, card information and IP address.
- If you order an invoice-based service where you are using credit, we will ask for your social security number so that we can perform a credit assessment of you. The information will only be used for this purpose and will be deleted once the credit check has been completed.

Purpose
We process information in order to deliver a service that makes ordering a taxi easier for you as a customer, respond to inquiries and optimize the quality of the conversation.
We treat this
We process the following information about you:
- Name, phone number, GPS locations and trip history.

The processing is necessary to fulfill an obligation to you as a customer.
Storage
We only process your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose of the processing, as well as to comply with our obligations under applicable law.
The call log is stored for 1 year.
Taxifix.no and the Taxifix app
Purpose
We process personal data to provide a service that makes ordering a taxi easier for the customer. The service makes it possible to make the order yourself, and will be predictable with regard to payment.
We treat this
We process the following information about you:
- Name, phone number, email address, address, GPS locations, trip history, card information, and IP address.
Legal basis
Consent to the treatment.
Access
For Taxifix to function optimally, the app must have access to certain functions on your phone. You can choose to turn off these accesses, but some functions will then not be available or will not function optimally. You turn off the accesses in the settings on your phone.
Newsletter
Function
Oslo Taxi sends out newsletters approximately once a month via email. In order for us to be able to send emails, you must register an email address, first name and last name. Make AS is the data processor for the newsletter. Your information is stored in a separate database, is not shared with others and is deleted when you cancel your subscription. It is also deleted if we receive feedback that your email address is not active.

Follow up on a customer relationship and inform about news and offers.

Customer Center
Purpose
We process personal data to create an order.

- Name, telephone number, email, address and any additional information in connection with the trip/booking.

The processing is necessary to fulfill an obligation to you as a customer.
Access
Our customer consultants have access to this information in order to create an order.
Customer service / case management
Purpose
The information is collected and processed so that we can assess, process and decide on your request/case.
We treat this
We process the following information about you:
- Customer information such as name, address, telephone number, email, date of birth
- Information about the situation, such as a description of the incident/request (may contain additional information), card information, TT card information, and account number.
Legal basis
The processing is necessary to fulfill an obligation to you as a customer.
Access
A limited number of users have access to this information. We generally do not disclose any of this information unless required to do so by public authorities (e.g. the police). In cases where the customer has, for example, been in a car accident or other damage, we will ask for consent before we give the customer's phone number to the licensee.

We use cookies on these websites to verify that your user information matches our security tools. Cookies from Google Analytics are also used to monitor the use of the websites - more about these can be found here .

Right to access, correction and deletion
You have the right to request access to the registered information, as well as correction and deletion in accordance with the Personal Data Act. If you wish to access and/or correct it, please contact us by e-mail: kvalitet@oslotaxi.no.
Personal information is kept until the customer requests to be deleted from the service. This is done by going to "My profile" and clicking "Delete your account" at the bottom right. Travel receipts will then become anonymous, just like the previously created profile.
If you choose to have your information deleted, it may mean that we cannot provide you with services.
