Terms of use for oslotaxi.no
The purpose of these terms and conditions is to describe the services you can purchase on oslotaxi.no, and to explain the responsibility we take towards you as a customer, and what we also expect from our customers. The terms and conditions will also show the delimitation of the taxi company's responsibility related to our services.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and protect your privacy when you use our services. By using the services, you agree that we may use such information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Booking travel
Oslotaxi.no has a booking function where you can easily book a taxi.
At oslotaxi.no you can order a pick-up here and now, or place a pre-order.
Oslotaxi.no finds out where you are using location services on your phone or computer. Sometimes it can take a while before your position is found on the map. Information about GPS accuracy can be found in your phone or computer's details. It is therefore recommended that you check that the pickup address is correct before completing the order.
Your order is sent to taxis that are close to the pick-up location, and you will normally be assigned a car immediately. Exceptions to this are for advance bookings where the ride is not assigned until the pick-up time approaches. Other exceptions are in extreme circumstances that affect our service, such as traffic conditions beyond our control that affect all road users.
Price calculation
Taximeter price
The price you pay in the car after the trip is completed is calculated by the taximeter. The price is current, and is based on the distance you have been driven, and the time the trip has taken, in addition to a starting price. Additional costs may apply. Read more about our prices here .

These are determined by the fare regulations.
Maximum price
We also offer a maximum price for bookings on oslotaxi.no. The maximum price you are offered when booking is calculated based on the estimated time and kilometers for the journey from the pick-up address (A) to the delivery address (B), based on the shortest route from Google Maps. The maximum price is the highest price your trip can end up at, but if the taximeter shows a lower price at the end of the trip, it is of course the lowest price you will pay.
For maximum price trips, we drive you as directly as traffic permits from the pick-up location to the drop-off location. The maximum price assumes that you are ready when the car arrives, that the trip goes directly between the specified pick-up and drop-off addresses without any stops or delays on the way, and that the trip does not include other extras, such as bicycles, parcel delivery, folding seats, ferries or similar. If you still wish to make changes or stop along the way, you must inform the driver. Different prices will then apply, and the maximum price may be cancelled by the driver. The driver will offer you a new maximum price based on the new route, or you can choose to have the trip run on the taximeter.
It is also entirely possible to agree on a price with the driver. This will then be a verbal agreement between you and the driver. The amount should be entered into the taximeter as soon as the price has been agreed and the trip starts, and you will receive a receipt after the trip has ended. Read more under "Receipt".
Additional services
If you would like special services such as a child seat, allergy car, wheelchair space or other extras as mentioned under the "maximum price" section, this cannot be ordered online. Please call us to order this.
If the car doesn't come
Call us on 02323 or 22 38 80 90 if your ordered taxi does not arrive as agreed. We always try to contact customers who do not receive a car as agreed.
If you do not show up for your booked car
When you have ordered a taxi, you will receive an SMS with a reference number. When a driver has accepted the trip and is on his way to you, you will receive another SMS about which car is on the way. This SMS costs NOK 1,- which will be charged to your mobile subscription. NB: If you do not wish to receive SMS, please contact us and state this.
If you book a car and do not show up as agreed, the taxi owner may charge a toll fee for lost time and driving to the pick-up location. It is your responsibility to show up so that the driver can easily find you. If you know that the location is difficult to find, you can write this in the comments field when ordering on oslotaxi.no. Example: "The road is closed with a barrier from 8-11. I am standing next to the barrier."
When you order at oslotaxi.no, the driver will see your phone number on the order, and you will often be called by the driver who will assure you that he is on his way and that you are at the agreed location.
Your reference number must match what the driver provides when picking you up. The driver must identify themselves so that the customer can check whether he or she has received the correct car. If you do not take the taxi you have been assigned, you will receive a "customer not met" notice. This also applies even if you take another Oslo Taxi. If you receive three such notices, you risk being banned from the service. If you feel that you have been banned and would like to regain access, you can contact us and request this.
Trip cancellation
Cancellation of a pre-booked vehicle must be made no later than 30 minutes before the agreed pick-up time. If the trip is not cancelled within this time limit, the minimum price will apply. Directly booked vehicles cannot be cancelled and the customer must pay the applicable minimum price for the pick-up.

Ordering at oslotaxi.no gives you these payment options:

Paying in the taxi
This is the traditional way to pay for a taxi. You order as usual at oslotaxi.no. You have the choice between a maximum price or letting the taximeter run. In the car you pay either by card or cash.
Complaints
You can contact us at any time by email at kvalitet@oslotaxi.no to get answers to your questions or to complain about a bad customer experience. You will receive an automatic response with a case number when we have received your inquiry. We are obliged to respond to your complaint within three weeks. Make sure to keep the case number in the subject line if you wish to contact us further regarding the same matter.
We do not cover losses caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic or weather conditions (so-called force majeure).
Refund
If you order a car but do not show up, we may charge a toll fee. This is because it costs something to send a car to a pickup address even if you choose not to use the ordered service. If there is a specific reason why the customer does not use the ordered car, this can be assessed by our quality department.
A full refund will be given if the passenger cancels a pre-booked trip within 30 minutes of the pick-up time. Cancellations made later may incur a charge equal to the above-mentioned toll fee.
If you have prepaid, but experience that the car does not show up, the reservation we have made on your account will be canceled, and the amount will not be deducted from your account. Should you still experience that the amount is deducted, you must contact kvalitet@oslotaxi.no for assistance.
Receipt
The driver is obliged to provide a receipt for all services performed, and all amounts must be registered in the taximeter. This can either be done by the driver printing a paper receipt in the car, or by you receiving an electronic receipt at oslotaxi.no. If you register your payment cards at oslotaxi.no, you will automatically receive a receipt as long as you use a registered card.
