Statement of due diligence assessments pursuant to the Transparency Act Oslo Taxi Group 2025
Introduction
The purpose of this report is to provide insight into how Oslo Taxi works to map and assess the actual and potential consequences for fundamental human rights, the environment and decent working conditions that we have or may have caused or contributed to, as well as what measures have been taken to stop, limit or prevent negative consequences.
More about the business Oslo Taxi AS
Oslo Taxi AS is Norway's largest taxi company and has its head office in Oslo. Oslo Taxi AS is owned by approximately 630 taxi owners who operate taxi services in Oslo through Oslo Taxi SA. The licensees affiliated with the taxi company operate taxi services as self-employed persons, and the vast majority have organized their business as sole proprietorships.
The taxi licensees' affiliation with Oslo Taxi is regulated through the "Statutes for Oslo Taxi AS". Here, the rights and obligations of the licensee and the taxi central are laid down. All licensees who are affiliated with Oslo Taxi AS are registered in the taxi central's systems, with a taxi license and a driving license, so that the central has an overview of whether the conditions for operating a taxi business have been met.
The licensees' affiliation with Oslo Taxi means that they have installed taximeters from Oslo Taxi, and are connected to the taxi center's traffic routing system and financial system. The turnover in the licensees' cars is registered in the taxi center's systems, and payment of settlements for trips driven on credit is made through the taxi center.
Oslo Taxi organizes taxi booking services through a customer center and digital booking solutions such as an app, tablet and online booking. The taxi center arranges booked trips to taxis that are registered with the traffic management system at any time. Oslo Taxi also organizes driving under agreements with the public sector, such as school driving and various forms of driving adapted transport.
Oslo Taxi facilitates training for taxi drivers who are employed by licensees. All those who are to become drivers must undergo training under the auspices of Oslo Taxi before they are issued a driver's card. The driver's card is necessary to be able to operate the taximeters installed in all taxis affiliated with Oslo Taxi. Once a driver has been issued a driver's card, he or she is free to choose which licensee he or she wishes to be employed by. It is the individual taxi owner who is obliged to follow up on his or her employees, and consequently the drivers have no employment relationship with Oslo Taxi.

Oslo Taxi's commitment to fulfilling human rights and decent working conditions
The Oslo Taxi Group has adopted guidelines that Oslo Taxi AS follows:
- Ethical regulations for suppliers /Code of Conduct
- Guidelines for compliance with the Transparency Act in the Oslo Taxi Group
In addition, Oslo Taxi AS has a quality and environmental policy.
The organization and operation of the business is anchored in our ISO system ISO 9001 (Quality) and 14001 (Environment). Our quality and environmental management system is audited annually by an external auditor, which provides the basis for maintaining our ISO certifications.
We have established ethical guidelines that set requirements for our suppliers and companies in the group. Management is responsible for ensuring that due diligence assessments are carried out at least annually.
The Oslo Taxi Group emphasizes safeguarding pay and working conditions for owners and drivers in taxi centers, as well as for employed drivers in Oslo Taxibuss. The Group has been particularly concerned in connection with deregulation that the authorities should set requirements for the taxi industry that safeguard basic human rights and decent pay and working conditions.
The Oslo Taxi Group has guidelines for social responsibility, personal conduct, as well as a warning poster and procedures for following up on unwanted incidents.
Guidelines and routines for due diligence assessments
Oslo Taxi AS is responsible for conducting due diligence assessments on behalf of the companies in the group. To assess risks internally and with our suppliers, we use the Visma-owned company House of Control's solution for conducting due diligence assessments. It is the management of the individual group company that makes a selection of which suppliers/markets we will monitor through the periodic due diligence assessments. Findings are reported to the management team and board, where any measures to minimize the risk of violations of human rights or decent working conditions are also adopted.
Oslo Taxi AS's largest purchase is the purchase of transport services from licensees in connection with driving customers under agreements with the public sector. In this connection, we have good control over whether turnover and salary basis for drivers are registered in the taximeter, that the driver has the correct qualifications, and that the vehicle used is regularly inspected.
The companies in the group have internal routines for HSE and risk management, which means that we map risks and implement measures where necessary to ensure that HSE considerations for employees are taken into account.
The Oslo Taxi Group has ethical guidelines that include guidelines for social responsibility, personal conduct, as well as a warning poster and procedures for following up on undesirable incidents. The ethical guidelines also cover a number of other issues. The ethical guidelines are available to employees through our intranet and are an integral part of the follow-up of our drivers, through courses and in follow-up interviews.
We have routines to ensure that drivers and administration treat customers with respect and safeguard their rights in their dealings with them.
With regard to the protection of human rights, including wage and working conditions and environmental aspects of our suppliers, it has been important for the Oslo Taxi Group over time to choose well-known and reputable suppliers. Although such choices are no guarantee of compliance with the requirements of the Transparency Act, established and reputable suppliers are often part of larger systems, where certifications and documentation of compliance with legal requirements are important. These actors are covered by the provisions of the Transparency Act.
The group companies also share several large suppliers, and therefore Oslo Taxi AS's due diligence assessments of these suppliers have been carried out on behalf of all group companies.
Actual negative consequences and significant risk of negative consequences
We acknowledge our responsibility to promote and comply with fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Based on our due diligence assessments, Oslo Taxi's operations involve limited risk of negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Oslo Taxi only has employees in Norway, where all employees have employment contracts that meet relevant requirements regarding decent working conditions and human rights. All affiliated licensees have Norwegian companies, and all drivers are covered by the industry's collective agreement. Oslo Taxi AS has not identified any negative consequences or significant risk of negative consequences in the employment relationship of our licensees and drivers, with the exception of matters arising from the industry's framework conditions.
Oslo Taxi AS has not identified any actual negative consequences for human rights or decent working conditions among our suppliers. We have also not received information from external sources that refer to specific incidents or general concerns about the above. We have seen that two of our suppliers report that they have not prioritized internal communication around human rights in the company, and that employees are not necessarily aware of the company's policies when it comes to basic human rights, but this has been followed up directly with the suppliers in question.
Measures
Oslo Taxi AS has not uncovered any violations of decent working conditions at suppliers, but in the context of the changing framework conditions for our industry after the release in 2020, we still see that there is a risk that the earning potential and thus the wage conditions are worse than before for affiliated licensees and drivers. At the same time, several changes are being made to the Professional Transport Act, which will in turn improve the framework conditions for the industry and ensure competition on equal terms. It is important for the working conditions of licensees and drivers that new framework conditions come into force as soon as possible. In recent years, Oslo Taxi AS has actively worked with authorities and politicians to facilitate the most knowledge-based decisions possible, and decisions that take into account the consideration of equal competition conditions, and a most transparent and clean industry.
Implementation of quality and environmental management systems, as well as external certification, is considered an important measure to reduce risk in one's own business. The same applies to close cooperation with shop stewards and the safety service.
Oslo Taxi AS has not uncovered any other actual or potential violations of human rights in its own operations or in the supply chain.
In the coming year, we will continue our work with thorough surveys of the supply chain, including the assessment of appropriate measures to ensure that our suppliers and their subcontractors comply with the requirements of the Transparency Act. If, after receiving documentation, we cannot be confident that fundamental human rights and decent working conditions are being met, we will seek to influence the supplier so that any violations are repaired, or possibly terminate the collaboration with the supplier.
