Booking a Oslo Taxi Online
When booking online, you’ll be asked to provide your name and mobile number so we can confirm your identity. You’ll receive a text message that you must reply to in order to confirm the booking. Please note: the online booking system only supports Norwegian phone numbers (8 digits).
Want an easier booking process? Create an account with us. Once registered, you won’t need to confirm each booking by SMS and you’ll get full access to your booking history, trips, and receipts.
The Taxifix-app
Taxifix is the easiest way to book a taxi for 1 to 4 passengers. You can pay for your ride in the app using Vipps or a bank card, or choose to pay in the car.

Advance bookings
You can book a taxi in advance. Please note that a scheduled ride won’t be assigned to a specific driver right away, but will be dispatched a few minutes before the pickup time.
The meter will start on the standby rate until your scheduled pickup time, then switch to the trip rate. If you enter the car before the agreed pickup time, the driver may switch to the trip rate earlier.
Cancelling a booking
Advance bookings must be cancelled at least 30 minutes before the agreed pickup time. If not cancelled in time, a minimum fare will be charged.
Direct bookings (immediate dispatch) cannot be cancelled. If the taxi has already been sent out, you will be charged the applicable minimum fare.
Maximum Fare Guarantee
You’ll receive a price estimate every time you book or hail a taxi. To get a maximum fare in the Taxifix app or online, make sure to enter both your pickup and destination address.
The maximum fare is calculated using estimated distance and time based on the shortest route from Google Maps. We guarantee the trip will not cost more than this amount and if the meter shows a lower fare at the end of the trip, you pay the lower price.
Note: The maximum fare only applies if you’re ready when the car arrives, the trip goes directly from the pickup to the drop-off point without stops, and no extras are added.
If the driver has to wait more than 5 minutes or if you request stops or changes to the route, the max fare may be voided and the trip will continue on the meter. The driver must inform you before the max fare is cancelled.
